All students intending to enter Australia to study on a full-time basis (except students from New Zealand) must first obtain a Student Visa.

English Language Entry Requirements

English language requirements are required to fulfilled. The following three options show the different ways you can meet these requirements.
1. IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
International students intending to study at Spark Hairdressing Academy are required to achieve a minimum IELTS score of 5.5. The academic test is required (not general training).
2. TOEFL
Students from approved countries may achieve an equivalent score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). (Score of 525 paper-based or 195 internet based)
3. Previous Study Abroad
You may provide evidence that you have studied in English for at least 5 years in one or more of the following countries:
- Australia
- New Zealand
- United Kingdom
- Canada
- United States of America
- South Africa
- The Republic of Ireland

Academic Entry Requirements

- Depending upon your Country Assessment Level, successful completion of high school years 10 to 12 or recognised school equivalence.
- Mature age students may be eligible for special entry without meeting the formal academic requirements.
- Students must be 18 years or older prior to commencing study at the academy.

Health Insurance Requirements

The Australian Government requires that students studying in Australia on a Student Visa take out Overseas Student Health Cover. This can be arranged on the Student’s behalf by either their migration agent or the Academy.
